From cgross at microsoft.com Thu Sep 8 14:51:17 2005 From: cgross at microsoft.com (Cindy Gross) Date: Wed Nov 30 11:01:41 2005 Subject: [Pit-stop] FW: Donations at this weekends race Message-ID: Not sure if anyone is still on pit-stop, but just in case.... Also keep in mind that the thing the agencies and evacuees need most is cash (they can buy exactly what is needed/wanted and avoid transportation costs). Also, the blood banks need whole blood, double-red (equivalent to two whole blood donations), and platelet donations (equivalent to between 6-18 whole blood donations depending on your platelet level). You don't have to wait for a blood drive, there are lots of local centers where you can make an appointment. http://www.carterbloodcare.org/ ________________________________ From: Pam Hasson [mailto:pam112961@yahoo.com] Sent: Thursday, September 08, 2005 2:34 PM To: Ashley Mahlke; Mark McDonald; Cecil Parker; Tom Possin; Nathen Price; L.J. Lowe Subject: Donations at this weekends race I know a lot of you probably already know this, but I'm sending to EVERYONE in my address book from TCCRA. Donations will be collected at the race this weekend in Alvarado at the front gate for hurricane victoms and the military personnel that are in LA and Miss. helping out. ALL non-perishable items will be accepted. Brother Jim Lowrimore will have a trailer and help deliver all items. P-Cay Burkhalter is helping coordinate all of this with Bryan T. Purcell USMC KC-130 Aerial Navigator from the US Marines. Razors Shaving Cream Tooth Paste Hand Sanitizers Baby Wipes batteries (AA, C, D are the most common) small flashlights canned food laundry detergent (individual or small containers) soft drinks junk food (they have plenty of regular food now, but a bag of M&M's and a soda when you are in a miserable environment can make a huge difference) Please all of you, bring anything that you can.....it would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
